Remember the Famous Cover of Nirvana’s “Nevermind” Album? The Kid in the Photo Has Recreated it again after 25 Years!

Spencer Elden, the naked baby swimming in a pool behind a dollar bill stuck on a hook, has recreated the image 25 years, but this time with clothes.
Elden was only four months old when the album was released. It was the idea of his father – photographer Kirk Weddle, who took the photo – and his family charged only $ 200 that eventually sold 30 million copies. Elden reproduced the photo, with the help of photographer John Chapple, to celebrate the release anniversary of the album Nevermind. And Chapple paid the same amount paid for the first time, according to the New York Post .

Nevermind is considered a landmark of pop culture with songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit and Come As You Are. The cover of the album not only had a global impact, but also its protagonist. Just look at the huge tattoo “Nevermind” on his chest to figure out how this photo marked his life forever, even if you do not have any recollection of that moment.

This is not the first time that Elden, now an urban artist, retraces the historical cover. It had been redone in 2001 for the Rolling Stone magazine, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the album, and again in 2008.
