22 Unimaginable Differences Between North Korea and South Korea

| - By

In the eastern hemisphere there are a lot of entirely unknown countries for both their way of living or doing things. You probably know a bunch of country names, but it is really very difficult to know their social or political status because of their strict rules. Some of those countries have great influence on our planet and have high rate of development.

North Korea and South Korea share the same border and even the same name, but perhaps that’s all that these two nations have in common.

North Korea is a regime that is oppressive, with high levels of poverty, hunger and the country abuses its citizens. South Korea is quite opposite. You can guess their position from films and dramas. South Korea is a capitalist country, maintaining better conditions and treatments of its citizens. We are talking about two ends having a way of life very different from each other.

German photographer Dieter Leistner has been in both countries and took some photos showing how everyday life in both countries, and the differences were more dramatic than we could imagine. Have a look here.
